Your Input Needed in a Letter to Dean Bryne

Hi everyone! A recent email was sent to Macaulay Clubs and I thought it would be important for everyone to read:

Dear Macaulay Clubs,
If you haven’t already heard, Macaulay unveiled plans for a massive renovation of the lower two levels of the Macaulay building at Club Council on 4/5. While we’re still waiting for the plans to be made public and sent out, the proposals include the removal of the Cabaret stage, bar, and sound booth to turn it into an area resembling the commons. This decision, made without student input, would eviscerate a hub of student life and one of the major benefits of the building.
We’ve put together a letter to Dean Byrne to voice our concerns, and we would greatly appreciate it if you would sign it to show your support. Also send this around to club members and friends so we can collect as many signatures as possible! Feel free to suggest any edits or additions that you believe are necessary. To avoid confusion, please do not directly change the body of the text.
Lastly, embedded in the letter is a link to a google photos album showing events in the Cabaret to illustrate our point. We would greatly appreciate it if you took the time to add your own photos showing your fondest memories/best events in the Cabaret. We would also encourage you to caption the photos by commenting on them and including the event name and year in your description!
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Matthew Garcia
