Right now, everything is in shambles. It’s the end of my sophomore year and I feel like I’ve gotten no true career development City College is a cage currently. On Wednesday, I was able to have access to campus, after CCNY decided to shift everyone into online learning. I had to show my ID a count of 5 times maybe? The police were being really rude… and sassy. I had to even show it to cross the street. They wanted me to remove a sticker I had on my ID like… don’t you think if I got pass through the cage barrier… that like… it’s okay? My major is audio engineering and my professor has just given me this assignment. A project consisting of 5 assignments, 2 weeks before the semester ends. Please note that each assignment will most likely take 1 week each. I started on it and I took a whole hour trying to get the first step of the assignment to work. The professor wasn’t understanding at all. One of the sections is to create a midi section and he never showed us how to do it. This whole semester, audio engineering wise, was a disaster. I don’t think I learned much. I was shown different types of production and mixing techniques, but to put it in practice was difficult. It’s hard for us to learn when we’re all sitting on this hard ass bench, watching our professor drone on and on about things not related to the course. Finals week is going to be hell for me.
